Getting Traffic, Not Earning!

At the minute I have ads showing to guests only. I am getting between 1200 and 2000 uniques a day but making nothing at all.

The site is at Unofficial SoccerAM Forums - SoccerAM.net

I just literally use the top bar to have a horizontal banner.

How could I improve this?

You`d need a better strategy, make the ads blend more in the page, try editing the templates adding a google ad seem like it`s the first thread ... stuff like that ...

Your site template looks nicely organized. How many guests are you getting versus returning members?

What is your bounce rate?

You definitely should experiment with the ad placement. Try a different setup each week until you find one that works better. There are many AdSense optimization tips on the Web, and you should check our the forum we have here too.

Tip : Try http://www.google.com/websiteoptimizer . This way you can test variations of text, ads etc ...

In my experience with forums, I tend to monetize better ads that do NOT blend with the forum, you'll have to make some tests, I change ad link colors for a week and then I compare earnings.
