Getting the best out of AdSense?

Hello everybody,

I'm still relatively new to AdSense and monetizing websites and this forum already helped me a lot in getting started!

Right now, I use one big leaderboard on top of my forumdisplay and showthread pages. In addition to that, I have a skyscraper on the right of forumdisplay and a medium rectangle below all threads and posts.

What am I to say? My earnings are pretty OK so far, especially for a site that is only around for several weeks now. Anyway, I'd really love to get the best performance out of my ads, so I need your advice.

Out of experience, can you guys please tell me, where you would place additional ads and what ads have turned out to be the best performing types?

For example, what about having ads display between posts? Shall I flood guests with more ads than registered users? I 'm afraid this might drive (potential) users off my site. What are your experiences with this type of advertising?
