Clicks doubled but revenue only up by 30%

I started using Adwords to attract paid traffic to my site. As a result, the clicks on Adsense has been doubled, but the revenue has not gone up proportionally at all.

It's been quite a few days so it looks like a pattern.

My sites are still showing pretty much the same ads but the values per click on some ads have dropped considerably.

Is this normal?

I am curious if you need to enable google anayltics for this feature to work? Only reason I ask is because it seems like it is under the same section.

You can keep Google Adsense targetting enabled and Google Analytics disabled.
