I just received an email from them wanting me to join their publisher network. Just wondering if anyone has heard of them, if they are legit, and if they pay well.

Good morning,
I heard about your enquiry about Hooked Media Group and wanted to take a moment to let you know that Hooked is indeed a legitimate company. We offer a great way for publishers to monetize on their sites buy offering free and engaging content which increases site stickiness and does not take the place of traditional advertising. We also offer game developers a way to make money off their games, with no contract required.
Check us out at: www.Hookedmediagroup.com

tracey, can you please elaborate on what Hooked Media Group is offering publishers? There wasn't much in the way of specifics available on the publisher tab at your site, and the only way to move forward seemed to be by applying.
Thanks
Main problem I see is that by using video/image ads you'll have ads that suffer from banner blindness.
Banner blindness is an underestimated problem, especially in the gaming niche. Our visitors know exactly where something is a banner or part of the content. Using aggressive image/video ads will make our visitors simply ignore them. Furthermore those ads usually get a lot of missclicks as many visitors accidentally click on them. The more missclicks you get the lower your CPC (Cost-per-click) is going to be.
I am running a gaming forum too, would love to hear your experience :-).
