Thanks everyone.
Not sure how much to read into this, but currently I haven't even reached peak time for my forum yet (5pm-10pm GMT) and already I've beaten yesterdays earnings!!
wow guys
I have 50 unique users per day , and happy.
Do you recommend some other ways of revenue,because all of the 50 users are very quality users regarding the what they searched for

Ok, 2 day report - i know, i know, mustn't get too comfortable until at least a week is passed and the numbers have a chance to stabilise, however, i can say, with the current change - it looks like this:
Comparison Thursday 3rd > Thursday 10th - Revenue +259%
Comparison Friday 4th > Friday 11th - Revenue +710%
Happy just isn't the word .... !
BamaStangGuy - Have also put in an application for Tribal Fusion, I like the idea you have of the two adverts next to each other, especially the fact it's CPM. Do you know what the average CPM$ is?
Hey Ben, I'm reading this post and considering the same for our site mote.no - forum for moteinteresserte and I was wondering how the changes worked out for you. I see you have implemented the 336 block now. How much was the increase did you have after a few weeks and months?
run pop-under with ValueClick, Viralytics or Casale. Pop-unders pay the best CPMs of any ad format.
I just introduced the two big square ads only for guests and only on threads and it increased my revenue on friday by 2x and on saturday by 4x
Very happy, and since registered members only see a small ad panel they aint complaining![]()
Sorry to bump this old post, but having two ad blocks sides by sides with one being text block and other an image block (both adsense) is still allowed from google right?
Google would not frown upon you about restrictions of having images next to ads..
To make it short, are we still allowed to have blocks like these two from Adsense:
Thanks.
yes... thats ok. it's images that entice a user to CLICK an ad that's not legal. ie, if there was a big <--- arrow image on the right, that wouldn't fly.
template conditionals.
<if condition="$show['member']">
///////memeber ads
<else />
/////guest ads
</if>
I run 2 large adsense blocks under my navbar too. Left is text, right is image only. Only shown to guests. Members get a small banner.
While my members barely click on ads, I get 3.3% CTR from the guests. My eCPM is real nice too. Now if I could get more visitors, I could be making some nice cash, lol.
I found ads on the main page don't do well, and neither do ads at the bottom of the pages. Big ads right under the navbar work the best for me.

I just introduced the two big square ads only for guests and only on threads one week ago and it increased my revenue by 2x so far. Thanks for your input and ideas guys. Helped a lot.
This REALLY worked! I added those 336x280 to the ad_navbar_below template and my revenue earnings have doubled! With an average of only 1000 impressions per day (site still small), I average between 2 to 6 clicks which results in about 50 cents per day. Surely, it's not the greatest earnings you can get, but damn, I'm happy my earnings have doubled, still. Now, I am just waiting for a bigger community, to multiply these earnings by ten!
I've got to be grateful to my community, though. I somehow get great visitors to my site, and great returning members! It's a great small community, overall. Let's hope it's going to stay this way!![]()
