Am I on the right track?

I recently moved an existing forum I had to a new domain and to a vBulletin based forum.

Until about a week ago I didn't have any ads on the board. I decided to drop some adsense under the navbar to see what happens.

Right now I get about 200 uniques a day and average anywhere between $2 to $7 a day in adsense revenue. I'm starting to market the site online and in 'real world' within the next week.

I've been getting about 2 new members every couple days. With most of them returning. I think I have a great user base to build upon.

Question: is my site (Arizona's Talk and Opinion Discussion Forums) on the right track so far and what else can I do to get more traffic. I have about 1/3 new visits a day (2/3 returning).

    Thanks.

If you are looking to make more money, I would 1-2 of the square or rectangle ads right under than navbar. Also, I've not really tested this out much, but I use channels and allow the advertisers to target my channels... I still have to read up more on it but it doesn't seem to be doing too bad for me.

I've limited my ads to guests, users awaiting emails, and people with under 5 posts on my site. So anyone that is active or has paid for access on my site does not get them and I've seen good results (better than showing the ads for EVERYONE). If you want to know how to do that, go here: Adsense only visible for guests

You need to do Relevant Replacements, check out the forum here because I think there are example on how you can set them up.

Don't put ads in your footer. No one will click them.

In your vBSEO options, you have to define your "homepage" or something like that. I forget what it's called but you have to put:
    index.php
    index.php?
in the box so that you won't have your PR spread across each of those "links".

That's about all I see for now, that should give you enough to work on :P Hope this helps.
