    Adsense within Sitemaps

    Hi,

I've seen through Google Analytics that my forum/sitemaps/pages... have lot of traffic, but I'm not placing any adsense there.

I'd like to know if it possible to include Adsense code there and, of course, how to.

    Thanks in advance,

    by sitemap, you mean archive?

if so, i would suggest directing your archive traffic to your real threads, and eventually turning off the archive entirely.

with vbseo, the archive is not necessary.

Hi Briansol, thanks for your quick reply.

I've to say that "yes", by sitemap I meant archive. I've set in the vB's Archive Options to Rewrite + Redirect's vB Archive

    a) Is this what you mean with "directing your archive traffic to your real threads"?

    b) How can I turn off the archive entirely?

    c) Does it help to have all the archive links in the footer (for guest's only) ???

    Thanks!

I feel turning the archive off completely (including footer links) is the best thing to do. the archive is 100% duplicate content.

I use the vbseo option of "leave default archive settings" and completely turn off the archive in the vboptions panel.

But, if you're getting traffic there, you don't want to turn it off until traffic to it drops. Ultimately, you DONT want traffic there at all... you want your REAL page in the SERP's and your REAL page to be linked from other sites.

IMO, the archive was the worst thing vb ever did with their software.
