Adsense slowing your site ?

Weeks ago i used iframes with adsense because sometimes the ad blocks hangs the webpage load. I report to google this issue and tells me to use absolute divs, but... is a good option?

That should speed the rendering a bit, but it depends on how the rest of the page is rendered I would think.

Any experts on browser rendering algorithms here?
