ADsense optimization help needed!

I'm currently running a tech forum, averaging at about 2000 unique visits a day.

Address: Wccftech.com
Userid: guest
pass : guest

Currently I'm running a couple of block ads for guests under the nav bar, and replacing them with a leaderboard for members.

My earnings, for ever, have been ridiculously low - never averaging above 3-4$/day. What can I do about it? Any help in this regard would be duly appreciated.

You are breaking Google's TOS with that stupid floating register object b/c you are covering up the ads when at the top of the page.

Try having the ads close together. Have one of them show images and txt and the other just txt. When there are images involved, users are more likely to view the ads and hopefully click them (which is why putting images next to your ads is against their tos >.<)

Try a different color scheme to see what performs best. There's research out there on what colors perform best. Also, you can try to do what I've read about and have it change colors every time the page loads to keep users from becoming blind to the ads. I've read that it helps but when I tried it, it was worse. It all depends on your audience.

Ok, I've removed the floating object. And have made one of the ads image only. Any ideas, as to what color schemes should I use?

Nope, I haven't looked up what the best colors are for a long time now. I know the standard blue link was suppose to be the best (#0000FF I think). But I'd just google it.
