    Adsense not making the cash?

Just joined up with Clicksor and so far i'm pretty impressed. There is 0 setup time, as soon as you join, you can start running ads pretty much. It took about 20 minutes to start to get targeted ads for my site but after that its been all good since.

They have pop-under advertising, which some people may not wish to implement on their site, which is understandable, but what i did was code it into my forums so only guests would receive the popups. It was pretty simple. You can even set the rate at which the pop unders appear

They have in-line contextual ads, which would turn words into advertisements. Pretty awesome idea, and has a decent click rate from what i can tell.

Then there is also the standard advertisements. You can choose to run all 3 on your site, or simply 1 or 2 if you wish. You have the ability to filter out adult sites from being advertised which is great, and they also allow adult sites to use their program which is even better, well for myself anyway

Definetly something to check out. My first days revenue has already been double my usual adsense/YPN revenue. And its only been about 7 hours

So what does this have to do with AdSense?

Didnt see a "general revenue making" forum. Adsense is the closest thing so i said, why not share my experience with others, since adsense sucks

i ran clicksor for a week, and their ads just sucked.

while they do pay more per click, the ad bank just isn't there, so resulting click throughs dropped 500%

Adsense is horrible, i absolutely hate it. I tried everything there was to try in regards to different placements, matching the colors, not matching the colors, placing it off the wall spots, placing it spots that blend in and i couldnt make a dime.

No matter what it'd never record clicks or referral downloads for my account, i emailed them about it, and always got some BS response about how the ads need to be targeted at the site. Does it get much more targeted then running a automotive site, and getting nothing but automotive related links... mad:

Google Adsense has always targeted my Automotive site perfect. The payout per click just sucks compared to YPN.

I know, the targeting isnt the problem. The fact it was always said i received 0 clicks for weeks on end was total bsflag.

I went and checked out your website. My first impression is this place is dead. Then I was bombarded with pop-up advertisements, at least 4 pages of whole web sites jumping onto the screen.

Here is why AdSense, Clicksor or whatever system will not work for you.

    1. You're trying way to hard to make money with your website by attacking your visitors with advertisements.

    2. You have little or no traffic. Your forum has 148 members with only about 15 members who are regular posters.

You need to drop all the aggressive advertisement techniques and re-think the way you market your website before you bash AdSense. I suspect ClickSor will bomb for you as well.

There is only one pop under on the forums, Its running haywire on the CMS part cause i messed up the script and havent had time to fix it.

Adsense has never performed. I just reopened the site after it being down for 3 months. Before when it had tons more traffic there was still little to 0 revenue daily. Even back when the site received 300-500 uniques daily the revenue was squat. Adsense has simply never worked.

Made the switch to YPN before it was taken off line for a while, and was making about $1-2 daily from YPN. So just cause you got adsense to perform well, doesnt mean it performs well for everyone. And after doing some reading on other sites, i'm not the only one with the Adsense issues.

Thanks for the advice though, and i even made a minute to fix the bombardment of pop unders

I would not advertise on my forums, unless I have at least 500posts/day.
Once I have a steady traffic and people are happy, I can start to insert small ads, at the top of the website (between logo and the page content).

No sky scrappers, or inserted ads into posts, leave the users breath.
    That's my personal approach.

Same with me. Currently i have no adds at all. I have average off 350-500 posts a day. My target is taking this to 1000 - 1500 and then signing with an internet add agency located in turkey and get adds only from them.
