vBSEO Affiliate Program Launched!

The much anticipated vBSEO Affiliate Program is now available.

vBSEO members are invited to join us in the promotion of vBSEO to earn valuable commissions.

Here is an overview of how it works:

• We will provide you with banners, text ads, and other promotional materials to help you advertise.
• After referring potential customers to us, you will be rewarded with a 15% commission on the sale price of vBSEO.
• Promote our affiliate program to other forum admins & webmasters and you will earn 5% of the value of the commissions they earn.
• Payments are processed and sent out on the 15th of each month via PayPal.

I think the vbSEO copyright notice at the foot of the forums is an ideal place to place an affiliate link in lieu of existing copyright links. Is it permissable to modify this copyright notice for an affiliate link?

If not it would definitely be recommended as this would be a great passive way to promote vbSEO *and* earn affiliate commissions.

I agree, can we make that link an affiliate link?

I have the same question.

With that link vBSEO becomes more expensive than vBulletin itself but if I could change it to an affiliate link I would not mind. As my forum is a SEO forum - it is the ideal place for an affiliate link.

We will consider adding it as an additional option in the next version.

I agree with the rest - if we can place the link inside the copyright text then i'll sign up for it.

Yep, I am not doing it unless it is in my copyright. Otherwise I am not wasting my time spreading the link. It wold make everything so much easier.

In all fairness though, there are a multitude of other ways in which you can spread the link. Via an image banner would probally be the most efficient of those, but i agree, that for simplicities sake it would be helpful to add it into Affiliate Program users copyright linkbacks. And your not wasting your time, your getting yourself a very handy 15% commision back off each sale

Well face it though... VbSeo is nothing but cheap. THe chances of selling alot per month isnt that high. I would be stunned if anyone sold over 10 in a month. At $150 %15 times 10, thats what... $170?

IT just doesnt seem worth it enough to spend all that time on, or to spam site with it in your sig. No body likes affiliate links in your sigs.

How long till the new release?

10 sales would be $223.50 of passively generated revenue. I.e. earn while you sleep. We have customers who own more than 10 licenses individually, so I would not be surprised to see active affilitiates who are able to generate that sales volume.

FYI We also have the 5% recruiting bonus for those of you who actually encourage others to join our program.

We are still testing and finalizing some new features in the new version, including this request for inclusion of the affiliate link in the copyright. I hesitate to give an ETA right now, but we are doing our best.

FYI We will be providing information on different methods of promotion that require very little effort, yet can be successful in generating sales commissions for all affiliates who choose to participate.

Affiliate programs can actually be extremely successful. Of course you need to make sure you are marketing the product correctly, i mean if you are the owner of a childrens forum dedicated to Japanese anime then your forum target demographics are obviously completely off to those who would be interested in purchasing a vBSEO license.

I'm one of those with over 10 licences.

Although the forums are mostly small, it still means 10 forums that could passively promote vbseo, as well as my making recommendations for vbseo on my websites.
