| VBA links directory
I think it would be good to include vba products for inclusion for the next release of vbseo. I just realised today that all the replies to links are not in any way vbseo'd - no permalink, no highlighting, no nothing that i can see. VBSEO claims to be site wide and work wiht products related to vb... well, vbalinks dir uses the standard reply format so i'm not sure why vbseo seems to be lacking in there. vbseo also does not seem to rewrite any urls in the links directory (nor vba for that matter). Anyway, it would be good to have this functionality. |

| vBSEO does work with most/all products related to vbulletin, however, it does not SEO other scripts. I highly doubt that vBSEO will include something like this in the main product as vbadvanced is a third party addon. I do not have the link directory addon, but you should be able to get away with using vBSEO's CRRs |

Well it's not a 'major' issue for me, the latest VBA links directory has it's own rewrite rules thingyjiggy which I've used for now... (if it ain't broke - don't fix it). But, I would have thought that as VBA L/D is using the full functionality of VB's postbits and such, that vbseo would be automatically generated alongside it. Sadly, there's no sign of life in any of the posts/replies. This seems to suggest that only the forum is getting seo'd, and the vba l/d is being skipped. Sorry if i come across in a bad light on this, i'm not trying to cause a stir - just wondering why (or, rather; how to fix it) they're not mixing with other elements that rely on vb core elements (such as postbit). |

Like I said, if you are wanting the links to that certain post on the link directory, you should probably be able to get away with using our CRRs. What is an example of the links that you want to get rewritten? (Before the rewrite of the link directory)

I've been wokring on this for 3 weeks now. I HATE that brian made you install it in to a directory. I changed that. I now have links.php instead of /links/index.php and so on, and all the paths changed. I'm now working on CRR's for everything, but it's not going well. I think what i'm going to end up doing is making my own functions_vbseo_vbalinks.php file and connect it into the core vbseo. I probably can't release it, due to the extensive customizations i had to do to every vba link file (new file names, paths, etc) and i'm sure a re-distro is against his TOS, and a lot of it I hard-coded to my specific needs. I don't plan on ever upgrading |
