Thread subtitles

OK here is the thing. You create a thread and give it a title, the vbseo kicks in and gives it a url with based on the thread title. Great - works well.

But, if you need to change the title or update it - say a news thread where an update to the story has come in - then the url updates too, not so good ifs its longstanding and has linkbacks etc.

So is it possible someone can create a vb / vbseo hack to create subtitles (that are not affected by the url rewrite) but will reflect changes to the main title?

Any links to the old name will be 301 redirected to the new name, because the thread ID is in the URL.

If you want your URLs to always remain the same, you can use a URL format that does not include the thread title.
