I will try to explain clearly  New thread is created with title: generic thread title responses are made to the thread and their titles are: re: generic thread title. Administrator, Moderator or Forum owner comes along and cleans up the title for clarity or SEO reasons and changes the title to: Specific Thread Title Optiimized for SEO. but all of the subsequent posts still have the re: generic thread title I would love to see all the related post titles updated to the new thread title. It is probably not a good idea to modify all post titles automatically, since they may include text mannually entered by users (not "re: title"). Btw, you can hide post titles as described in two simple template mods for vBulletin SEO

why not just put some fancy code in like rewrite all re: titles with new thread title except where the title has been edited/customized? Just seems like a better approach if the thread title changes that the corresponding re: titles match. Thanks, jason |
