    Lightbulb Requesting vbarticles support

    First up, i will say that yes getting every hack supported is not possible.

    But in this case just think about making an exception. I am talking of VBarticles hack. Many people will have article on their board(its one of the premium scripts on VB.org) and more then that its mostly used for reviews, and grt quality content that you want people to see and search engines to spider.

    i think the url format is quite simple. have a look at this forum

    http://www.i-symbian.com/forum/articles.php

    do see if this is possible.

    Why not? if vbseo team provides an interface where we can define custom dynamic URLs to be rewritten (perhaps like the "Acronym Expansion" setting) AND expose their rewriting engine, then 99% of the hacks would be supported with no or little code modification.

    Not supporting my favorite 2-3 hacks would be a major reason NOT to use vbseo, but as far as I can see, vbseo's non-intrusive approach makes it compatible with almost all the hacks I've seen.

    How about adding "Custom Dynamic URLs" setting that act like the "Acronym Expansion" one:

    PHP Code:
    'articles.php?action=viewarticle&artid={1}' => 'articles/article-{1}.html'
    'link.php?id={1}'
    => 'links/link-{1}.html'
    ...

    @SEO Report:

    Excellent suggestion. We are going to investigate this further. Currently, we are considering options for a vBSEO extensions module as well as a vBSEO API for other hack/mod/plugin developers.

    /* NOTE: This feature request is under consideration for a future release of vBSEO.*/

    Any news on support for vBArticles?

    This is one hell of a mod, and is the single most important hack I would like compliance with. Is anyone working on this?

    We are also using VbArticles and we would be very happy to see support from VBseo on that usefull hack.
