    [req] Subtle changes to license

    Some background:

One of the things I do as an administrator is to run a test vBulletin setup to ensure that any changes made will not break the main forum. This is per the vBulletin license agreement that allows a test forum on a particular URL (/testvb) that is password protected via the webserver (so .htaccess for Apache).

This way, there is little risk of downtime for the main forum, as all changes will have been tested beforehand in a 'safe' environment. If we break the testing environment, it's no big deal, as our users do not lose any access. For us, it's not quite UAT (User Acceptibility Testing), but it does give a good idea as to how well various changes we make will affect our users before we unleash something on them.

However, the vBSEO license agreement does not allow this. It would be good (from my point of view) if the vBSEO license could be extended to allow use in the test forum in a similar way to the vBulletin license.

This was brought up and they are planning to modify the license to allow for a test system.

I did, and it's all sorted now. It would be good to see this in the license though!

Thanks to the vBSEO guys for being understanding on this.
