Remove Duplicate Page Titles?

I noticed that google webmaster tools now has a section for reporting duplicate page titles. I noticed that a lot of these duplicates are posts and multiple pages of threads.

Anything we can do about this?

You can replace showpost pages with permalinks by activating corresponding option in vBSEO CP. Or modify SHOWPOST template to customize the title tag.

Wouldn't doing that eventually remove the showpost pages from search engines? I rather not mess with my permalink settings at this point - How would I put the post number in the title of SHOWTHREAD_SHOWPOST ?

Yes, that would remove showpost pages from SEs.

You can insert $post[postid] into <title> tag in that template.

I actually realized that showpost.php makes up a ton of sitemaps and I'm not getting any traffic from those pages. I'll just replace with permalinks.
