post-id instead of page-id in the permalink urls

    Hi,

From the PM's i sent to Oleg.

Hello, How can i change my permalink structure from:
    Code:
    http://www.msxlabs.org/forum/msn-ifadeleri-emoticons/44-getsmile-ve-getsmile-paketleri-binlerce-yeni-ifade-2.html#post314757
    to
    Code:
    http://www.msxlabs.org/forum/msn-ifadeleri-emoticons/44-getsmile-ve-getsmile-paketleri-binlerce-yeni-ifade-mesaj314757.html#post314757
In the forumdisplay, if you click the last post arrow it will send you to:
    Code:
    http://www.msxlabs.org/forum/forum-oyunlari-online-oyunlar/7522-forumun-enleri-mesaj909694.html#post909694
    mesaj909694.html#post909694

If i can replace the page number with the post number before the ".html" it'll work. How to change permalink structure from ...-index-xx.html to -...post-xx.html ? I need this because if some posts are deleted from the thread, permalinks may become useless because of the page number included in the url. I hope you got the point.

+1 to this as an option

I have some users with custom posts-per-page and while the URL is correct for them (the page number), if they click a post permalink from someone else or they try to share the permalink they see, it's worthless as they end up on the wrong page.

While there would be a SEO hit as mentioned here, I think it'd be very worth having it as an option.

Is this the thread on how to change the post number to the permalink? Like how it is here on this site, as I've been trying to look to find how to do this..

    Thanks

There is an option for that in your vBSEO Control Panel. Just choose "replace post number link with Permalink".

No, this is a different idea.

What you want to change it to is the "Replace with permalink" option.
