    Honestly i will never use that as i see that kind of addons as potential spam applications. However i respect your work.

    Thanks Mert

    I'm interesting to know how spam it is? and what are the differences from services like twitterfeed.com?

    If i want to follow a website , i would subscribe to their rss feed. I follow people because i am interesting what they are doing instead of their site content. Of course everyone can post articles about their sites but it should be limited imo. If someone i follow crosses these lines , i directly unfollow them. Thats why applications like twitterfeed.com or the mod you created looks spam applications for me. Of course this application can be used for site related twitter accounts but i personally will never follow a site from twitter. I have my rss reader for that

    Hello

    My mod is planned to have controls over what is posted and by whom. it won't be a mere blind posting feature.

    That's why I've created it.

    Thanks any way.

    Does just what it says on the box. Within twelve hours I have about ten followers, a shed load 50 link backs and another twitter poster using my feed for their own twitter application.

    Great hack Milad

    Im still altering what does go onto twitter though, but its definitely worth considering, even with the add on in its infancy

    The version 1.0.3 includes (already done) a new control over threads by which usergroups can be posted to twitter. (did I say it correctly?) for example in the usergroup permission page, you can enable automatic tweeting for admins only, so only threads posted by admins will be tweeted.

    Also, I'm working on the manual tweeting function, so you can disable the automatic tweeting, and tweet whenever you want, threads you want by clicking an icon in the first postbit (I was working on it, but I have to sleep now).

    1.0.3 is expected to be released tomorrow or after tomorrow. it will enable you to control which forums and which usergroups so far.

    Regards

    idealy you would want a option in the postbit, thats only viewable to the admin, or to all, an option which states "Tweet Me" then that person tweet goes to there website.. lol

    there are a number of mods that do that Martyn
    well, there are 2 mods that I can think of that do it, one even ads your forums name as the source, with a link back to the forum

    I'm thinking about adding it to replace the feed I mentioned above

    I am trying to run into this modification but ran into some problems....

    When it sends tweets, it truncates the thread title, here's an example:

    Original Title Thread: Redskins RB Clinton Portis Denies Rift With Jim Zorn

    What was sent to Twitter: Redskins RB Clinton Portis: R

    vBSEO has been detected and initialized!UTF-8 Converting isn't enabled! (if you're already UTF-8 then don't worry!)

    Array
    (
    [threadid] => 100477
    [title] => Redskins RB Clinton Portis Denies Rift With Jim Zorn
    [forumid] => 109
    [userid] => 1
    [usergroupid] => 6
    [membergroupids] => 67,70,78
    )

    URL re-written by vBSEO!
    [Redskins] Redskins RB Clinton Portis Denies Rift With Jim Zorn - GridironFans.com
    Tweet: Redskins RB Clinton Portis: R [Redskins] Redskins RB Clinton Portis Denies Rift With Jim Zorn - GridironFans.com
