Lightbulb make permalinks also definable by URL Rewrite Settings

    Hi

I noticed that Permalinks are not defineable by URL Rewrite Settings which would be nice.

I have a german forum and try to use german phrases in all links.

    The permalink however is:

An alle Neuen: Herzlich Willkommen - Patientenfragen.net - Für Patienten mit medizinischen Fragen

the postXXX part would be nice if that would be changeable too

That is part of vBulletin. vBulletin includes those bookmarks, and vBSEO just jumps to them.

I am not sure what you are saying.

The (permalink) was created by vBSEO.
The #1 post link is vBulletin.

The #1 link can be changed via vBSEO, the permalink not.

Or am I wrong? then please explain

    Thank you

If you look at a thread on stock vBulletin, and view the source, you will see the "#post12345" bookmarks. Those are put there by vBulletin. vBSEO just jumps you to those by specifying that bookmark in the URL.

It would be possible to change it, but you would need to change it on vBulletin first, then vBSEO would have to allow it to be changed to match (as you suggested).

Could this be done with a custom rewrite rule without changing it in vbulletin?

As per Keith's comment, "you would need to change it on vBulletin first".
