Improve content to code - Remove display options, forum rules

    Hey,

I find the display options and forum rules quite useless especially for guests. Usually all threads are turned visible. Here a copy+paste:

I had a look in the forum display template, those lines generate 50 lines of code which are if you ask me not necessary. If you ask me, it would be a good trade-off for SEO.

    Thanks,
    Hendricius

the majority of those only show when logged in as mod/admin anyway, so it's a non issue.

the legend could be removed, but i think it's a moot point and borderline on anal

Not to mention, removing some functionality for new users of a site.

It shows for me as guest as well.

Those functions seem useless to me because all posts are set to visible. Then there is no need to use those controls. Guests can't post, why should they read the forum rules?

I like a very minimalistic approach. This would certainly increase your C2C ratio by a marginal amount.

If this is something you pursue, please let us know if you see any related changes in your search engine positioning that you feel may be attributed to the change.
