Is it possible to have copyright text that does not include the version

I don't see the need for it

Yes, I'd like to see an option to Enable/Disable the display of the version number also.

(Still wanting a completely branding free purchase option too.

That's great to hear [IMG]../../images/smilies/smile.gif[/IMG] - With 2.3.2 we have already integrated the upgrade instructions for both 3.0.x & 3.5.x versions! 2.3.2 will be released tonight.
