    alt Title Tags

Sorry forgive me if i'm not talking about the right thing here but i'll explain what i was hoping to do and can't see the feature on vb seo.

I would like to be able to enter a differant title tag for the search engines whilst keeping the title shown to my members as being something else. Would this be possible? iexample-

Danish Football 12/6/09 - What the user sees
Danish Football Betting Odds 12th June 2002 - What google and search engines see.

Would this be possible in future?

    thanks

    Hello Komp,

Unfortunately currently vBSEO doesn't have a feature like this. You may request it as a feature request but personally i don't see a value adding this feature. May i ask why do you want to do something like this ?

Thanks for the reply Mert. The reason i would like this feature is because i would like to have thread titles that are written for humans and not for SEO purposes. If i was having a thread this weeekend on German football forinstance i would like to have it 'The Gerry Weekend thread' but thats not good for google and my targeted audience so instead i have to make the thread title 'German Football Betting 17-24th May 09'.

On drupal you can set a differant title for the title tags and i was hoping that maybe vb seo or vbulletin itself could offer the same.

Can you please explain how this option works in Drupal so we can discuss this and consider adding this option.

A little on it here Mert
    Page Title | drupal.org

The word "title" is a bit overloaded. Every piece of content in Drupal has a title, and so does every page. The page title is the one found in the HTML head inside the <title> tag.

This module gives you control over the page title. It gives you the chance to specify patterns for how the title should be structured, and on content creation pages, gives you the chance to specify the page title rather than defaulting to the content's title.
I now see that this is just for page titles and maybe that works differantly to the way vbulletin is set up. i don't think it would be achievable would it?

you'd be relying 100% on users to enter accurate alt/title tags. it will probably do more harm than good.
