Okay, so i got bored of the Gaming Community forum, i think theres to many of them around, and not enough time in the world to beable to make one with all the needs they require.

So i come to make AshfordTalk.co.uk - Coming Soon - its going to be a Community Forum for my local town( Ashford in Kent, Which is in the United Kingdom ) i uploaded vbulletin/vbseo/vbseo style.. and set away tweaking to endless times in the morning, untill i found what i think now is the perfect match of...

This is my first blog post in 2008 here at vBSEO.com
The last post i made was in December.

Since then, the traffic has nearly increased 3x. (2x in the last two months) Now aiming to double the traffic again in the coming 2 or 3 months and get past the 1000 UV (unique visitors) per day mark.

Recently I have created 3 new sections of my site :
  1. Blog (just to express my views on the different things I learn and experience as a novice webmaster/developer)

How I got 20% of my traffic back!

So this morning I decided to check and see how my 404 pages worked (should have done this a long time ago) and I discovered that my 404 page was a simple 1 line "Page Not Found" document. No theme, no navigation, nothing but those 3 horrific words.

20.1% of all my traffic resulted in 404's...

And even worse, after looking at Awstats I discovered 20.1% of all of of the HTTP requests to The Recognized Expert Marketing Show resulted in a 404 Page Not Found status....
